ACF has formed a number of Task Groups to study issues related to concrete.   Upon completion of the study, each Task Group will release its findings which will be announced and added to this page.

The International Committee on Concrete Model Code for Asia (ICCMC), established in 1994 and merged with ACF in 2010, has been publishing the following technical publications with the aim to advance the knowledge in concrete engineering.   Please contact us if you are interested in any of these publications.

September 2014 Asian Concrete Model Code 2014
ACMC 2014 was published in September 2014 as a revision of ACMC 2006.  In addition to the modification of the contents, another crucial modification is the reduction of the document levels from the originally 3 levels to 2 levels for this revision. The former Level 1 which was the common documents for all 3 Parts is transformed to be the Introductory Chapter with minor modifications. The former Level 2 is modified and changed to be Level 1 document while the former Level 3 documents are recoded / to be recoded as Level 2 documents.

January 2014 Standard Specifications for Materials and Construction
Guidelines for materials and construction of concrete structures based on the Thai standard specifications
Standard Specifications for Durability and Service Life Design
Guidelines for durability and service life design of concrete structures based on the Thai standard

March 2011 ACMC 2006 Level 3 Document:  Maintenance for Carbonation
Guidelines for maintenance and rehabilitation of concrete structures subjected to carbonation-induced deterioration

November 2010 ACMC 2006 Level 3 Document:  Seismic Assessment and Retrofit
Guidelines for the seismic assessment and retrofit of concrete structures

November 2009 ACMC 2006 Level 3 Document:  Design for Seismic Actions
Guidelines for designing transverse confinement reinforcement of reinforced concrete columns against seismic actions

June 2007 ACMC 2006 Level 3 Document:  Design for Fire Actions
Guidelines for the design of reinforced concrete buildings against fire actions

June 2006 Asian Concrete Model Code 2006
ACMC 2006 was published in June 2006 as a revision of ACMC 2001.  Major updates include 1) a new chapter on fire action in Level 2 Part I for building structures, and 2) commentaries in Level 2 Parts I and III, bringing them in line with Level 2 Part III.

August 2005 ACMC 2001 Level 3 Document:  Materials and Construction
Guidelines for materials and construction based on Japanese Standard Specifications

July 2004 Vietnam National Standard TCXDVN 318:2004 - "Concrete and Concrete Reinforced Structures - Guide to Maintenance"
In July 2004, Ministry of Construction Vietnam approved the above guideline which was prepared based on ACMC 2001.  It is the first national-level ACMC Level 3 Document.

April 2004 ACMC 2001 Level 3 Document:  Maintenance for Chloride Attack
Guidelines for maintenance and rehabilitation of concrete structures against chloride induced deterioration
July 2001 ACMC2001 Level 3 Document:  Design for Seismic Action
An example of seismic performance examination for RC building design according to the Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) Guidelines

March 2001 Asian Concrete Model Code 2001
ACMC 2001 incorporates the performance-based methodology - one that clearly describes the required performance of structure being designed, constructed and maintained during its service.  It is divided into 3 levels - Common Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.  The Common Level 1 document provides the framework for and the basic principles underlying the code across the 3 Parts: Part 1-Design, Part 2-Materials and Construction and Part 3-Maintenance.  The Level 2 documents specifies the required performance and the ways and means for the structure to achieve such performances.  It contains provisions that are common to all countries in Asia and the Pacific.
